On Friday, September 9th, Director/Actor, Robert Townsend and Actor, Leon will host a 25th anniversary gala screening of the 1991 iconic film "The Five Heartbeats”. 

The classic film is loosely based on the lives of recording artists The Dells and The Temptations and depicts the rise and fall of a Motown-inspired R&B group - The Five Heartbeats - as told through Donald “Duck” Matthews, played by Robert Townsend.

This event will reunite director/co-writer/star Robert Townsend with actor/star Leon for a moderated Q&A session, after the screening, where they will discuss the experience of making the film, the state of the industry today and give advice to up and coming filmmakers and actors.

It all takes place inside the historic Randolph Theatre ~ 736 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON ~ (formerly the Bathurst Street Theatre).  Doors Open at 6:30pm

 Immediately following the screening and Q&A, will be a gala post screening and Q&A reception inside Atlantis ~ 955 Lake Shore Blvd., Toronto, ON.
